MARTIRIA started their career back in the 80ʼs and particularly the year 1987 with their first demo, “The twilight of remembrance”. The Italian band, until today, had released four albums with the last one, “On the way back”, marked as the highest of their career.
The album contains eleven tracks and is a great mix of different styles and atmospheres, elements that makes a band unique. Also they managed a remarkable mix of melody and heavy sound at the same time. As every epic / doom metal musicians that respects their selves they have an impressive guitar work, for example just listen the song “On the way back”. Whole song is played on acoustic guitars, even the solo. Guitars have classical tuning, with a variety of cut riffs and longed ones. After the first listening of the CD it is very difficult to describe their music, a sum of quality ideas, powerful vocals, symphonic sound, epic tunes and progressive song – structure with many “beautiful” acoustic passages.
