In October 2023 the band will perform at Keep It True Rising 3 Festival; The debut full-length will be recorded towards the end of 2023.
Amethyst is a Heavy Metal band from Switzerland, formed in 2020 out of the ashes of the previous band, Midas Touch. Their goal is to play Heavy Metal, as it was intended by the noble elders, straight from the hearts of the band members, to pierce those of the listeners. The inspiration doesn't come from a specific band in particular, but rather from the general sound of the era between 1979 and 1981, and the spirit of said time.
Their first sign of life was the "Rock Knights" EP that was recorded in late 2022 and released in March 2023 on Jawbreaker Records from Sweden. After pre-releasing only one song, the first pressing sold-out within the first days of the pre-order phase and Amethyst got booked for the legendary Keep It True Rising festival, making them an underground sensation. Bookings for several high class festivals like Muskelrock and Chaos Descends followed swiftly. The band performed the live debut in May 2023 in Switzerland, followed by a highly acclaimed show at the Muskelrock festival in Sweden in front of an ecstatic crowd.
The debut full-length will be recorded towards the end of 2023 and will be released sometime during 2024 by No Remorse Records.
